Breakfast in bed or on the terrace!

Of course, there's something terribly cozy about the idea of breakfast in bed. The smell of hot tea (or coffee) that gently wakes you up, the well-stocked tray placed on the rumpled sheets, and the simple pleasure of lazing around, a book or film within reach.

Succumbing to the beauty of a sublime “Shincha Gyokuro”, a Japanese green tea intoxicating with marine, vegetable and oilseed scents. We are in a cocoon, cut off from the world, in a bubble of softness from which we under no circumstances want to leave.

But breakfast on the terrace has a very different magic. The sun, the fresh morning air, the discreet noise of the city waking up to a crescendo, or the singing of birds depending on the location. It is a scene that opens onto the outside, a moment shared with the environment: a tea (or an espresso), a crispy and golden croissant in hand, we observe the passers-by or the flowers from a balcony, and we feel a slight effervescence.

Both are incomparable pleasures, but they tell different stories: one invites us to savor intimacy, the other to celebrate openness to the world, or simply on the street below our home. If I had to choose, I would go for breakfast on the terrace, a café in Paris, where every street corner brings new inspiration. Then the rest of the time, for breakfast in bed. But it doesn't always happen like that.
This is why hoping is fabulous. And you, which one speaks to you the most?
