After a long and trying climb through the tea plantations, each step digging a little deeper the desire for a saving rest, the tea house finally appears, like a treasure that only patience and effort can reveal. The path, lined with imposing pines and sometimes shrouded in thick fog, seemed endless. Each breath was a battle against the altitude, and the torn muscles still carried the fatigue of the hours gone by.
But, looking at this refuge nestled at the top of the hills...more precisely the mountain, charged with the subtle aromas of black tea which infuses in large copper teapots and the light scent of the rhododendron flowers which surround the place , satisfaction erases all pain.
The raw stone walls tell stories of travel and found serenity. Here, on its flank, the promised haven opens onto one of the greatest spectacles in the world: the grandiose and majestic scale of the Himalayas. The immensity of the peaks, dominating the clouds which seems almost unreal and which can be admired thanks to the large openings onto nature from the tea house.
The contrast between the disproportionate effort to get there and the absolute serenity of this place is striking. You settle down, exhausted but peaceful, facing this dizzying panorama, as if the mountains themselves recognized your merit.
Every detail of the tea house becomes a reward. Simple, perfect cups of steaming tea, smelling of wild honey, become a blessing. The rustic seats in wood and fabric, carefully woven, and the soothing smell of wood add an unexpected softness after the roughness of the path. Everything, down to the breath of the wind which plays with the crystalline sound of the bells and the messages from travelers hanging on the terrace, is a caress for the soul. This tea house in Nepal is not just a refuge; it is a lesson taught, that the purest beauty is earned.
A communion with nature after the effort, and an invitation to feel alive, really!
