The Tea Trees have their heads in the mist at  around 1000 - 1300m above sea level. They grow on mountain slopes, with their feet dry and well anchored in the acid, basaltic, detrital (decomposed granite), well-ventilated, permeable and humus-rich soil. A few hours of sunshine per day, attention, careful picking, exceptional know-how for semi-fermentation, will ultimately result in some of the tastiest teas in the world, the " Gao Shan Cha".
