Organic Darjeeling Okayti Gold Tippy
The Okati Tea Estate is in the Mirik Valley just on the border with Nepal at an altitude of 1500m and is where first class organic teas are produced. At first glance, however, it becomes clear that "Treasure Gold" is not an "ordinary" Darjeeling , because the long, threadlike leaves with numerous golden tips are even more reminiscent of high-quality teas from Yunnan.

Tasting
After brewing, the cup has a coppery glow and the brew shows the careful picking of "a leaf and a bud". The palate then reveals incredibly multi-faceted notes of chocolate and caramel, combined with a slight malty character and deep fruitiness reminiscent of ripe grapes. This quality is rightly called “Treasure”!
After an ironing, the tea turns out to be softer, sweeter, the crazy notes of chocolates and caramel barely swallowed, give way to tasty fruit as well as a length in the mouth all in beauty.
It is a real pleasure to taste this splendid tea.
